Effective January 1, 2009, the research ethics training requirements have changed and will now be completed through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) website. The previous modules available through the Research Ethics Education & Resources site will no longer be accepted for certification.

You must have current Human Subjects Protections Training at the time of:

  1. IRB review to receive IRB approval; and/or
  2. Grant award for funds to be released.
